So I thought I would share what a typical day is for me when I donīt have any plans. Some days there are museums to go to, or I have passes to go places, or tours.
In Bilbao I donīt have a set schedule. Tomorrow I decided I am going to the Guggenheim though.
When I finally get up in the morning, have breakfast, get ready and then venture out. During the day time I go down any road that intrigues me. Here there arenīt many malls. Instead, there are really old buildings, a lot of them are really beautiful....when I get back I will put pics up. The steet level is shops and usually everything above it is apartments. People donīt have houses in town, its apartments. Each shop has cute window displays so I check them out.
Instead of going to the supermarket...which there are here, No Pig though. There are individual shops...one where you get your fruit, one for bread, one for dessert, sometimes the bread and dessert are together. Then there is on for the meat. Its neat to see all this meat hanging in the window. In Leon, I was walking past one where the butcher was hacking up some meat for customers.
There are lots of salons, lottery shops, tobaco places, etc.
When I walk around there are usually a lot of people. I run into a lot of beautiful parks and people are walking through them and kids are playing. They put a lot of effort into these, there are beautiful flowers and neat designs with the plants. Sometimes there are statues, other times fountains. Sometimes....there are even little restuarants.
I jut like to walk and observe. Sometimes like an hour goes by and it doesnīt feel like it at all. I just walk until I am hungry and stop at a cafe. When I start to feel tired, I go back and lie down. Then at night I stick to the main drags and walk around and do a lot of people watching. Things here ... particularily this time of year are cool because there are so many things up for Christmas. The big event is coming up....No not Coreyīs birthday (which can you believe my baby brother is going to be 21?) BUT they celebrate January 6th...the Magi coming. So there are sales for that, special dinners, etc.
Then if I get a chance to go on the internet, I blog, send messages, etc.
