ooops... it's been a while!

i've just been told by travelblog that it has been 90 days since i last published a blog! yikes, i didn't realise that i hadn't updated everyone on my adventures since then!

to be honest, i'll probably find it quite difficult to remember every single thing i've done for the last 2 / 3 months but the main highlights have been ...

- a visit from my parents, sister and brother-in-law who came out to stay for a week in october. we enjoyed doing all the seville touristy things (including watching an amazing flamenco show) and also spent a beautiful day on the beach in cadiz

- a few weekends away in the beautiful aracena countryside to stay with our lovely scottish landlady! although the last time we went to stay, she was on a business trip so we had her luxury apartment to ourselves... and got a cat to look after too! we had a great time!

- getting to know the kids i teach a lot better and really having a good laugh with them... they're helping me to improve my spanish a lot and i'm (hopefully!) helping them improve their english. my favourite classes are with the 5, 6 and 7 year olds who are just so adorable

living in spain has certainly been a huge change from life in japan. there is a lot that i miss about japan but i absolutely treasure the memories of the adventures i had over there. japan was always going to be a tough act to follow really!

saying that, i´ve met some really lovely people here and the city itself is just beautiful... it´s great to enjoy the sunshine and blue sky even in the middle of winter! just today, phil and i were sat on a beautiful roof terrace, overlooking the cathedral and enjoying a coffee... life is good!
