Hola. I have been a bit sick for about 4 days now, which sucks. My throat was just sooo sore and now I have a cough, but never a full cold. Thank God. We have just been going to school... I got an A+ on my second test. Finals are tomorrow and then we start the semester on monday (we have been in the grammar-only intensive period). Right now I am pissed because I am trying to get my money back for the trip that I signed up for to go to portugal because it is the weekend that antonette and I were planning to go the beach and take surf lessons. UGH!
We went out for tapas on sunday. That was fun (tinto de verano). Antonette and I have been running this week a few times because the weather has been cooler. We also went to the market. Today, we had the tourist trips. I went to the Alcazar (palace) that all of the kings since forever have changed/built when they were in power. It was pretty, but I was tired and hungry. It is free for students so I was just like, ugh, let me come back later!!
But at the same time, I really like learning about it.
The food has improved since it has become more crowded. Like, last night we had a divine chopped salad. Today, for lunch, we had chicken (not a pork product??!!), salad, lentil soup (YES!!), mushrooms, bread, and watermelon... aaahh!! I went to the cook to tell her how much I liked it. It seems like people might not do that very much because I think I made her day. I figure if all of the people who like gross food never say anything, she will keep making what I like!! lol...
Hmmm... I am excited for Brendan and my family to come because this place is crazy sweet and I have developed quite the lisp while speaking spanish...lol
