*As you probaly have noticed, there are no pictures attached to this blog. There will not be any pictures for a little while. We will do them as soon as possible when we can get to a computer that can support what we need to do. We know that our fans want to know what is going on, so we will put just the text up for now and keep checking back for photos that go along with our stories. Sorry! We are trying to keep you all updated, but it isn't as easy here.*
We slept in today since we had no solid plans for the day. We got ready, posted some blogs (yes, we did fix the spelling on the Morocco blog), and researched some of the local landmarks that we could go look for. Then we went in search of a grocery store. We saw an Aldiīs while we were out searching for water last night and we tried to find it again. However, on the way there we found another, cheaper supermarket. We got enough food to make lunch, dinner, and lunch for tomorrow. It cost us under 5 Euros total for the both of

us.
Then we went out with our poor quality map our hostel provided for us to try and not get lost. We didnīt get too lost and we did find almost all of the landmarks, the Catedral de Seville, the Real de Alcazares, the Plaza Nueva, the Plaza de Espaņa, and some other pretty buildings. We were particularly impressed with the Plaza de Espaņa. It was under construction (and certainly in need of "a fresh coat of paint"), but it was beautiful. There were not many people around at all because it was raining. The Plaza represented all of the Spanish provinces with a tile picture monument that included their crest, a picture, and a map. We took pictures at all of the provinces we have been to.
We have another small world story. This is great. So while we were walking in downtown Seville looking at the outside of the Catedral de Seville (which is absolutely huge), we were spotted by the family we had sat at lunch with in Morocco. We didnīt even know they would be in Seville at the same time, and with all of the hundreds of people and monuments, it is amazing
that our paths crossed again and that one of their children would recognize us on a crowded city street. So we chatted with them for a bit and they highly recommended going up the bell tower of the cathedral. They explained that it is a big ramp rather than stairs because they used to use horses to get to the top. We were too late to enter that day, but we planned to spend the following day there anyways.
We then came back to the hostel to make our dinner. In the common room, we met a boy from Toronto, Canada named Chris. He is going to go sight seeing with us tomorrow and is going to be in the same hostel as us in Cordoba. After chatting with him for a bit, we decided to get ourselves in order for leaving the hostel the following day.
The hostel advertised a free flamenco show. We walked 20 minutes, following a guy who took a large group of us to the place. It ended up being a bar scene with benches and a small stage. There were 2 men to start, a guitarist and a singer. We werenīt too
thrilled with the atmosphere. We were also exhausted from walking for hours and hours earlier that day. We really wanted to see flamenco dancers, but it didnīt look hopeful as after the intermission, only the 2 men came back. So we chatted with a guy from our hostel named Eric from San Fransico who is traveling Europe and had been in Isreal for 8 months before starting college. The three of us decided to leave to try to find our way back. We succeeded at getting back. We showered immediately since the flamenco show was smelly from smoke and went straight to bed.

Send Private MessageI lived here for 2 months, it is an incredible city! They were working on putting in a subway system but they are far from completion, even now. Very geriatric population, but then again, college was out. The Alcazar is better with a tour guide, it makes more sense and the details of the architecture are explained.
