Because"futbol" is the most popular sport in Spain and all of Europe, we decided to take a free Sunday afternoon and go to the Malaga futbol game. Malaga is in the secondary league of Spain; it´s like the Greenville Drive (but soccer) of Malaga. The major teams in Spain are Barcelona, Real Madrid, Sevilla, Valencia, etc. Of course the one day we decide to go to the soccer game, the temperature drops to the 40s, the cloud open up, and down pours the rain. Some luck; I mean Malaga hasn´t seen rain in months.....until we got here. None the less, we still had a pretty fun time. Malaga ended up winning 4-1 so the scoring kept the game exciting. I did expect to see more people at the game. Maybe it was the weather;but, I don´t think the stadium was half full. There was a section of crazy Malaga fans that kept the crowd in the game and added to the European futbol experience.
