Today we left Barcelona. We packed all day and cleaned up. We left some things there that we have to go back and pick up later. The hassle sucks, but Im glad Bea let us leave it there, it would have sucked to have to drag that around too.
Around 7 pm we left for the Barcelona train station and arrived really early, around 7:45 for our 9:30 pm train. We hung out and then got on the train no problems. Well except for that I broke the scanning security machine. Ok, I didnt break it, but when I was getting my suitcases one of the metal rolly bars broke off. I didnt bother trying to fix it.... the guy who was the scanner was kind of off-putting, so I didnt feel too bad.
On the train we met Sara, originally from Pakistan, but who had studied in Boston and was now doing a southern Spain trip with some friends as well, she was really nice. She was originally my roommate, but I switched with this Cuban lady so I could be in the same compartment as Moniek and she went to hang out with her friends.
It was a sleeper train which was awesome, and even more awesome was that we had only 2 roomates for about 30 minutes, Irish or Scottish or something, a woman and her daughter, and then they got off. Im not sure if this was a dream or not, but Moniek kind of remembers this too so I dont think it was, but during the night when we were sleeping 2 German guys tried to come in I think, but the conductor told them no. I dont know, it was weird...
And ohhh man, we had ac!!! It was sooo nice!! I just wanted to ride around in that train for ever and sleep. Sleeper train (with the right roommates of course) is definitely my fave. way to travel.
We arrived in Granada at 830 am and my story continues in the next entry....
