Today we arrived in Quentar at 830 in the morning. After some confusion we found the bus stop at 1030 and went up to Quentar. It was a 30 minute bus ride. The girl Esmeralda who is hosting us took us next door to meet the man who manages the CouchSurfing requests for the participants in this village. He told us he likes to host Americans and black people. He said he likes to host Americans because his friend, Axel, who was also there, are Sufis. Sufi (Sufism?) is a small small small religious, mystical sect of Islam, interesting stuff. He said on his CS profile he has to say everything without saying anything, because if he said they were Sufis, a lot of people wouldnt come, which unfortunately is true. We sat there talking for quite a while. Then this English guy Alex came over. The host guy was like, yeah this is Alex, he was a pop star in England la ala. I was like, is this true? And he was like, kinda. He plays the guitar, so I was like, well, lets hear something! So he left and came back with his guitar and played a song. It was cool- here was this short short English guy in a little red Sesame Street shirt with these dusty little green shoes in this little village playing a song, it was cool.
After that me, Esmerala, Moniek, and Alex went back to the house to have lunch and we met a lot more people. After lunch we relaxed, then later we went with this 14 yr old girl Marua I think she lives next door, and 17 year old American Victoria, to walk 3 dogs. We walked around the woods and along and through a river and field for about an hour and a half. Poor Marua fell in the river!! The first time she said thatd ever happened to her. Shes got such an adventurous spirit and shes so friendly a good Spanish teacher- all at 14- admirable. She reminded me a bit of me when I was younger, and then I felt old.
After walking the dogs the 4 of us went up to the hosts huge house on a big hill. It had a great view. We sat and talked for a bit, then the host andh is wife showed us where we could buy some groceries so we went and did that.
Then we came back home and a lot of people were there chilling. Then 2 more people came an American guy from Bolder and a Spanish girl and we looked at their Morocco trip pictures and videos alll night until late- the girl was nice she gave Moniek and me each trinkets from Morocco.
Then, I went to beeedd tired!
