Ungarn essen viel Meerfisch, obwohl sie kein Meer haben. From now on I try to write mostly in English because I already gave the address to many non-german people.
I spent two nights at Andras, a friend of my sister. The first evening we were out with colleagues of him, eating and drinking something. One colleague says he's pessimistic and says that is so dangerous. Hungary is the border of civilization and there are many unfriendly people in the next countries. But I think there will be much more friendly people than unfriendly. He cannot understand why someone is voluntarily going out of civilization.
On Saturday I rode to the lake valencei-to, a good alternative to the Balaton lake, as Andras suggested. It was nice, but extremely windy, so I couldnt stay there long time, but I took a bath, of course.
At next morning I was awaked by two tractors, who mowed the field next to my sleeping place. They didnt gave me the pleasure to stop it after a while, so I started buggedly. Why do they mow just that day I wanted to sleep there? Mean!
In Paks I ate a fish soup as Andras advised. Nice!
Next morning I recognized that I was again too

rechts Andras und links der "Pessimist" far for crossing the border at the place I wanted. I did bot plan to go through Croatia, but for crossing directly to Serbia I should have to ride back what I didnt want. So I had about 25km in Croatia. I still had some Forint I couldnt spend anymore. I hoped to find a supermarket before the border, but no...
Croatia was the first border where I had to show my passport. It's a little bit funny, I am not used to it anymore. From Croatia on there is a signed bikeroute along the donube, very nice!
That day I had my new distance record of 146km.
As in every country I hav no plan what the currency is and how worth it is. So I go to a bankomat and take an amount that looks nice, for example the third suggested amount, its not too much and enough to buy something in the supermarket), then I go to the supermarket and buy something and can estimate, how much it is worth.
In Serbia, the people seem to be very friendly. The people on the street and also the people in the cars and trucks are becking to me.

Budapest They know where I want to go, when I am looking around to interprete the signs or to orientate me, they are often calling to me which direction I have to take.
However, you can see that the country is poorer, the streets are getting worse, the cars are smelling very badly.
Close to Novi Sad I was going to one restaurant. Two serbian guys invited me to join there table and invited me for a beer and join there meal. They could speak nearly neither English nor German. But we learned
jaweli-cheers, pivo-beer, dobro-good, namecko-german, srbski-serbian 😊
I recognized that I was really hungry, I could not stop eating😊 I also wanted to spend them a beer, but they also paid that. I wanted to ask which schnapps is typical serbian, but they didnt understood what I wanted.
This day I went for a bed and a shower, so I stayed at a motel. The owners of the motel could speak very well German because they have been in Germany for a very long time. The next day I continued to Novi Sad. The owner gave me 1000 Dinar, about 10 Euro, and said : "Fuer deinen Mut!"
Novi
Sad is not as big as I thought. Everybody was asking me whether I want to go to the EXIT. I didnt know what it is, but I learned thats one of the biggest festivals in Europe. It's a pity that I was a week too early there, else I would have spent there a day or two...
I managed to get a couch from Couchsurfing at Igor in Injija between Novi Sad and Belgrade for the next day. It was very nearby, so I could ride very relaxed out of Novi Sad. The next day I started almost at midday. A few minutes later I met a group of 5 Cyclists who also follow the donube to the Black Sea. Three people are still joining them at Belgrade. I wanted to join them, but wanted to spend one night in Injija and maybe two in Belgrade, so that they would have one day of advance. We exchanged our mobile numbers and we thought I could catch up with them...
At Igor it was my first Couchsurfing experience. If I have the possibility I want to do it more often. There were also three Spanish guys as guests. They wanted
to go to the Exit festival. Igor is a cycle fan, he is also building his own bikes. He says that he can recognize the nationality of a cyclist by means of the bike. He says for example, the Rohloff gear change and the Ortlieb packages are typical German.
The next two days I could stay at Danijela, a friend of a friend of my sister, in Belgrade.
Thank you very much to you three, Andras, Igor and Danijela for hosting me without knowing me at all before!
