Looking at the Sacred MountainLooking at the Sacred Mountain
Looking at the Sacred Mountain

This was a fantastic and unusual day... i only wish i had a better camera to capture the colors...
Many years ago when I visited the mountain republic of Athos , I met
an ascetic monk who told me that Eden is still on earth in another
dimension. He told me it lies somewhere near Mongolia. Part of the
interesting point for me coming to the Altai region is that is lies
on the border with Mongolia, China, Khazakistan and China. Three of
the main religions converge in this region and I was interested by
other people I met during the peace caravan in March to Jerusalem...
then the opportunity came for me to come to the One World Gathering
in the Altai as an extra motivation. It was good to see Flo who I
havent seen for years and meet some other rainbow warriors out here.
Frankly , I was expecting pretty bad weather and was prepared for -
10 degrees or more. Make no mistake the weather changes very very
quickly here and mostyly during the day it sits at around 10 degrees
to 25 degrees. At night it can get down to about 0 degree or even -
3 in the higher regions of the
mountains.

After the intial site of the gathering was trashed/ vacated the
gathering moved to Ust Koksa which is a small town south of Gorno
Altai ... it sits right near the border region with Khazakistan and
is within sight of the sacred holy mountain of Belucha( about 4200
metres Im told) . It is the Kilimanjaro of Russia and the face that
faces Russia is the most difficult to climb. After the second camp
got trashed/ vacated- I decided to go into the moutnains near a
small village called Bashtala. The rest of the group of about 10
went to a small village along the "cartoon" river called Mult'a. It
is interesting that the road to Tiungur is the road to Tibet and the
famous Russian expeditionary man(Nikolai Rerrich)- who some say held
the philosophers stone actually passed this way on his way to
connect with the monks of Tibet in search of the famous "SHAMBALA"-
which is to some mystics the same place as" EDEN"- and to those of
us who know otherwise... the one is the same... all one
has to do is to ascend ...

anyway, as the main part of the group I felt were mostly on a child
ponographic -dark-ganja mission experiment gathering with NO
RULES... I decided it optimistically was not for me and I instead
connencted with a shaman and ascended up the mountain in search of
that different dimension.

My knee was still hurting from the english gathering so it was hard
going and I had to stop every few mintues to rest. It rained
occasionally and the weather was very inclement. Finally , I made it
to the top of the viewing point and made camp. I could not find the
cave to take shelter but just camped under a tree and made my own
one world gathering right there... interestingly enough this is
exactly what wa stold to me ... that the altai is a place of
individual pilgrimage and not a group place. A place to seek the
inner man and clear all the noises in ones head. My dreams were very
clear ... even the nightmares... and very vivid... and I awoke every
30 mintues because it was so cold... around 630 am i got out of my
sleeping bag and to my surprise... not a cloud in the sky!...

I pulled out my bible and began to read from the first place that
opened... I had been feasting on dry bread and blessed water from
the local orhtodox church as the way of the pilgrim book had
shown... and to many the sight of the belucha mountain peak is an
evasive one...

not today... it was as clear as a bell... it was as if the entire
heavens had opened... I was totally alone ... and yet not alone...
and all that morning... not ONE single cloud... later evn my russian
friends were to say... it was a gift from God... a miracle day...and
I felt as if I were in ectasy , a paradise... as I harmonised with
all of Gods creation... and worshipped the creator... for His great
masterpiece of wondrous art... even the insects were friendly
towards me... it was as if eden had come to earth... as if the two
dimensions had become ONE... the butterflies were landing on my body
and were not afraid... beautiful butterflies that looked like
leopards... brown with black spots... and it was like the movie with
ace venture when nature calls... it was really funny ... but it felt
like that!!!

anyway... I just want to end off this report my quoting the
scripture that God gave especially to me on this sunny shambolic
siberian septembers summer day...

"and he shall be like the light in the morning when the sun rises, a
morning without clouds.." 2 samuel 23 , 4.

I came to my one world gathering and I left without the need to be
physically at the gathering... I got what I needed straight from the
source... it was really the most wonderful present ever...

Thanks for reading this and God bless you

Robin
