So much happened in such a short time that it's best just to give snippets from the journal...


The Good

-fried meat thing on the train
-first class for three days
-Baltika beer
-borsch
-"Old Boy"
-pre-Soviet monuments and buildings
-Red Square
-Russian churches (waaaaaay too many but all beautiful)
-'Roman Hunt Salad' (greens, cranberries, crutons, veal, wild mushrooms, garlic/olive oil/basil salty dressing)


The Bad

-Russian bureaucracy and rules
-the service (what service????)
-the cost of coffee
-the cost of well, anything...
-very near death experience by a potted plant from above (too close for comfort)


The Ugly

-Russian men
-Russian men
-Russian men


The Weird

-Russian beer snacks (flavors include 'caviar' and 'salmon & cheese')
