Today at the hospital, I started to change a baby boy’s diaper, and noticed that he was in the process of pooping. I cleaned that up, and then, as I was putting a new diaper on him, he started peeing! Some of it got on me . . . which was awesome, so I just cleaned both of us up and threw away the dirty diaper. Anyway, just thought I’d share that.
After work, I met Kayleigh to go shopping. We went down to the new mall by the train station to have a look around. Neither of us saw much that we wanted, but it was good to know that it was there. Then we rode back to the office on the bus and I ate Kayleigh’s 2nd sandwich, because she was still full from her English breakfast with Sara. When we got to the office, she and Belinda went to work on their sock puppets for a puppet show they’ll be putting on next week, while I checked my email. I didn’t plan on staying long, but then Mikkel came in to help Dani bake a cake. I didn’t want to miss out on that. They baked a Danish cake (he didn’t know the name of it in English) with brown sugar and coconut, and it was so sweet and absolutely delicious, although he insisted that it was crap compared to the way his mom usually makes it. (Belinda, Kayleigh and I also commented on how impressed we were that he was so domestic) After the office closed at ~ 5 PM, Kayleigh, Mikkel and I walked back to the center, and Kayleigh and I went home for dinner. Mikkel went to meet up with Sara. After dinner, I finally got my phone working, so I called my dad to say hi, AND! Erin happened to be passing by his office when he picked up the phone, realized he must have been talking to me, and came in to talk on speakerphone!!! So I got to talk to Erin and my dad!! It was so great to hear their voices again!! Also, since it was Andrew's birthday, I called him to wish him Happy Birthday. He sounded very surprised to hear from me, but we talked for a little while before he had to get back to work.
Anyway, then Kayleigh and I went to meet Mikkel, Sara, Leonie and Connie at Deane’s Irish Pub for karaoke night. At one point, a man came over to our table, and asked Mikkel if he could see the karaoke book, but in Romanian, so we had no idea what he was trying to say, and Mikkel kept saying, “Nu, nu”. Then, the man heard us speaking English, so he came back and said “oh, I just wanted to know if I could see the karaoke book when you’re done.” Haha, Mikkel felt pretty horrible then, and said “of course!”
When karaoke night was over, we went to another bar, called Bavaria, and Mikkel went home without telling anyone. Kayleigh and Sara each had a tequila shot and we all sang along to the Grease soundtrack that was playing in the background. After that, they went to Tequila Bowling, and I was tired and had to get up early for work in the morning, so I went home.
