Wow time is really flying.
Vienna was wonderful, what a beautiful city. I ended up spending two nights there, one just wasn't enough, there were so many sights to see and galleries to wander, saw some van gogh paintings and climt paintings and so many more.
On the second night I thought it being the city of music and arts, that i would attend one of the jewish music festival gigs and get some local culture. So much for the local culture, the first act was a guy from california, and the second was a group from montreal. Argh. It was good though.
From Vienna it was back on a train to Budapest, there as well, thinking one night was enough was a stupid thought. Budapest is another beautiful city, a little dirtier, a little smoggier, and a little poorer, but beautiful nonetheless. The Buda hills are a great area to walk around in and take in the views, along with the labrynth caves and the castle to explore. Spend half a day just in the wonderful baths, oh how I wish we had some spa's like that back home. The budapest night life is a bit hectic, those hungarians really like to party which I think did me in, got a cold in the head which has crippled my abilities the past couple days. Couldn't do much yesterday except spend more time in the baths.
Due to my lack of scheduling, I decided to fly from Budapest to a landing zone in romania called Targu Mures? Where the heck am I. What a strange place, kind of a student town, must've had money at some point, but it's very poor now. Cold as a brass monkey's balls, supposed to snow tonight, we'll see how things go. Had enough time after the flight to wander the town, and plan the nightly pursuits, but for now i'm just happy to be in 'The Hostel' (nothing more than someone's house with a room set aside for travellers, which I am the only one now)(apparently there were a couple australians that came through here last week) and maybe have a nap. Not another tourist in town, which is nice, but pretty drab. Tomorrow I'll head to Praid and see the famous salt caves, before heading to the medieval town of Sighisoara for the night.
Ciao for now, it's off to Italy in 4 days!! after I find Dracula of course.
