Making full use of the generously provided inflight entertainment system, I offer the following suggestions...

(music) Pacifika and their album Supermagique.

These are well produced, trippy little tracks with plenty of polyrhythms and beautiful multilingual harmonies. New Agey without being weird ( Yes, please keep the elves and fairies at bay....)

(music) Rush and their album Moving Pictures.

One of my favourite songs, The Camera Eye, filling your head at 30,000 feet simply cannot be oversold. The soundtrack
from my Big City days in Toronto.

(film) Neighbours

A classic short film by Norman Mclaren and Grant Munro that presents the folly of Cold War politics.

(film) Strings/Cordes

A sweet short film that shows us how we really do belong to each other.

(film) Charlie Chaplin The New Janitor

A vintage one here from 1916. A janitor thwarts a robbery but still gets a kick in the butt. Tenderly and humourously
depicts the weariness of the working man.

(film) La Salla

A computer animated short presented in the form of a small opera. It examines what happens when we cross the line and open the door of temptation.

(film) The Sand Castle

A favourite from my childhood, this is a remarkable work that employs a mysterious form of animation involving sand. It is a poignant story that speaks to the beauty of creativity, working together and the frailty of our efforts.

In closing, I would like to plug the website for the National Film Board of Canada. They have put their entire catalogue
online and it is available free to anyone. Many of the films mentioned here are available there and are worth checking out.

Okay for now. The sun is up and it is time to go out and play! Luv, Kev
