we're in warsaw! and we have just spent about 2 hours booking and unbooking things when we realised that infact countries are quite far apart. Really, i think our lives would be much simpler if places would just move a little bit nearer to each other when we wanted to use the train. However, we have now managed to finalise (i use the term loosely) a hostel in prague, a campsite in vienna and a hostel in salzburg so at least the sound of music excursion is safe!
so rant over and back to today... it was sunny today! we found the old town in warsaw (eventually) and wandered around the pretty buildings before eating pierogi (which is not pigeon but a polish thing like ravioli made of pastry or dumplings depending on what you have in them) We had a pretty blue cocktail and sarah found a pretty black skirt. they threw away our cheese which made us sad so we had potato, tuna and garlic bbread for tea. hmmm yum. ooh we also went to the palace of science and culture...sounds exciting doesnt it? looks it too. we even went inside! only to find out that the amaaaaaazing exhibition was on...wait for it...spinach and sport. we decided not to pay for this as we were worried the excitement would be too great. we ate cake for 45p!!!
all in all poland is sunnier than finland, sweden AND norway, there is cheap cake, cheap vodka but the underground passages are confusing (but essential if you value your life), internet is free which is VERY good considering the time we have just wasted on it and the fact that the only computer place we found (we needed a printer) was underground, dodgey and run by a boy who looked 11 and muttered (sarah s thinks he should work for the government as he could crack the internet or something).
Anyway, sorry for the randomness of this entry, i dont have the book of funny things with me and my brain cant remember anything right now. we will add comedy later! hope youre all ok!

Sarah and Sarah,
Glad your having a good time. Cake at 45p sounds good!! So what's all the rearrangements, I thought the world was a small place these days? Maybe Polish Rail is as good as British Rail. Glad the sun has finally found you! It will be too hot for you soon!
Enjoy
