Im in Krakow B*Tch

Hello again,


Last weekend was a blast. The beginning of the week we all met as a class in Letna Park and had a soccer game and a BBQ to celebrate the 4th and the Czech major holiday named after some dude. We had a few beers with the teachers and went to the pool. The pool is awesome, they have a really cool water slide and diving board. Best of all the women are topless and hot, never thought i would say that about a public place, Chase also learned how to do a gainer. Later in the week we went an saw Zach and Mary Make a Porno (no its not a porn porn movie, its an actual Hollywood movie), It is like the new hot funny movie to go see here. It's funny because that came out in the states, moons ago.

Thursday night we went to Krakow Poland. It was another one of the coolest cities i have been to. Sorry Gramps, you said it was a bit drabby but I thought it was awesome. Friday we went to Auschwitz Concentration Camp. That was one of the coolest/craziest/depressing/uncool place. I learned a ton there. I thought concentration camps were strictly Jews. That was definitely not the case, let it be 90% of them were Jews, but it included the Polish, Hungarian, Gypsies, Catholics, and Greeks. I know I say it alot but you will definitely have to see pictures with stories to get the full grasp of everything. Two things stuck out at me, The massive size of Birkenau which is the second/ major part of the Auschwitz camp. It was 425 Acres, which if you haven't seen that much land marked off or walked the whole place, its alot of land. The other part that stuck out the most was actually being in the gas chamber where 2000 people died at a time.

Saturday was also another interesting day. We went to Zakrzowek Lake. It was an old quarry so it is surrounded by cliffs, and the water is ridiculously clear and blue. We went cliff diving, and that was super fun. They had a million different levels to jump from. The highest we jumped was about 40 to 45 feet. There were a bunch of news people there filming the lake and what looked like a ranger boat, we thought they were just filming the tourist and locals having fun at the lake. Little did we know when we went to hike to another jump, we saw the rangers leaving and they were towing a dead body behind the boat in a raft. It was the creepiest thing i have seen. From what we could see it wasn't a cliff jumper, because person was fully clothed, and it was near the middle of the lake. A few local people that were near us suspected it had some thing to do with the Polish Mafia.

So with all that good news I wrote about I had a blast in Krakow. I wish we had more time there, after reading about it there was so much more to be seen. The people were super nice, the city was cool, and we had an awesome hostel.
