Good to be altogether. Lillen and Di enjoy Stella
Time is getting close to leaving Norway, so, I have decided to rush through the rest of Greece and move onto Norway in the next blog. Wed 18th we move out of Friscardo and set of to Praga. We had a hard passage with large swells {I thought they were but Capt Martin didn't} so finally settled off an island for the night after about a 4 hour sail and a 2 hour look for a sheltered mooring to spend the night we had a reasonable nights sleep. Next day we headed to Praga with another 4-5 hour haul on the moter into a strong head wind and a medium swell. Finally into the Marina in Praga were everyone enjoyed showers and a good clean up. Di and I left the others to carry on sailing and we headed of on a 3 hour bus trip to Athens. Interesting trip with some nice sights and some not so good. Got to Athens and the hotel mid afternoon and settled in then started to explore. The first visit was to be the Olympic stadium first used in 1896 for the start of the modern Olympics. A special visit as the London games

Rune and I catch up.
were due to start. Wondered around and looked at old things, then dinner at the hotel and a good nights sleep ashore for the first time in ages. Next morning off to the Acopolis were the maddening crowds and the mid 40 heat created the wish to get it done and out of the way asp. Still wonderful to see and the ancient ruins and artifacts of Athens were special to see before we headed to Norway on sun 22nd.

Norway. We arrived to one of the worst days that they had had for a while with heaps of rain and a bit cool. Greese was so hot, sometimes far to hot to enjoy, but we are back to normal with Bergen. Great to see the little kids{Lilly and Stella} and the big kids{Chris and Hege} along with Rune and Lillen{Hege's parents}. A neat evening at home catching up although we didn't really have much time with Chris as he is smack in the middle of the concert season. Took the computer in to Apple for repairs and pleased to get that sorted. Tuesday night!! Sringsteen night!!! If you ever get the chance to go to a Bruce Springsteen concert, grab it. I thought it would be up in the top 10 of the concerts I have seen. He really goes for it for over 3 hours and the 23000 really got into it.

Two nights later, Paul Simon, which for a guy that is over 70 was amazing as well. B.S was the best from my point of view but Di loved P.S. Fantastic to go to and the area Chris puts us into is exceptional.

Our visits to Bergen are always busy with doing things. Shopping is one of the musts as far as Di and Hege go and dinners at Rune and Lillen's are an occurance that I wouldn't miss for anything. Always great food and I always end up eating to much. Oh, and the odd drink. And of course the fishing which Chris and I seem to be able to sneak in. But, one of the main reasons of course is to ensure that we remain in touch with our 2 little girls Lilly and Stella. Grandkids are Magic!!!
