Checked out of Eindhoven for the weekend and Andrew flew in to Amsterdam airport.
Paul times two, Che and I took the train from Eindhoven to Amsterdam and the NH Barbizon Palace where we were to stay the next couple of nights. Brillant hotel! Waiting for Andrew to arrive we just had a wander around, went for a drink and some food and then collected Andrew at the station.
Next day Paul, Andrew and I went on "Mike's Bike Tour", which turned out to be a full on ride compared with the Fat Tire ones. We rode out of Amsterdam to see a windmill and cheese factory among other things, eventually getting back to the start, we went on a hunt for food.
Found a pub, packed like all the others with some footy match going on and squeezed in for a few pints and some food. How did we pay you ask ... on foot I believe! Now this wasn't my choice, we were just sitting at the table, and they served us and never came back, it was near impossible to push to the bar to get drinks let alone again to pay. We waved and
tried to get their attention at various stages but no luck so Paul gets up and wanders to the door, I decide I'm not going to be left there and tell Andrew to push through and go and pay but instead he follows me out the door, and then we are off and running! Lol! I know I know, but we did pay for our first drinks at the bar and only had bar food like chips and wedges. No excuses!
That night we ventured for a look at the red light district and some coffee shops after dinner.
Sunday Andrew was flying back and we all had to make a move back to Eindhoven. The two Pauls, Andrew and I (Che had headed back to Eindhoven first thing that morning) went to have a look in Anne Frank's House first and then we all took our leave!
