Day 20 - Den Haag, Netherlands

Morning: Finally got a good sleep last nite and woke up at 9am today. Watched some tv first before going to get ready and eat some breakfast. By the time we leave the apartment, it was already noon again.

Afternoon: We decided to jus take the tram to town and walk around before going to the newly opened Asian supermarket to get some food to cook tonite for Yorien. She seems very excited about what we are going to cook for her so we feel a bit stressed to come up w something good and representative of our part of the country. Today is sunshine again but the wind is still very cold, we walked around to look for the tourist info office to get a small city map of the area and finally found it after walking abt 5 streets. The lady was extremely helpful and gave us suggestions on what to see so we set off to the Palace Gardens nearby, umm nothing much to see, even the palace didnt look like one so we jus walked around the park and set off to the next Church in the map. Also nothing cos it's closed except for special events, then we jus walked around and grabbed some lunch along the way and soon it's about time to go to the Asian supermkt to start planning what to cook. In the end, we decided to cook clear soup w vermicelli, curry chicken and garlic mushrooms. So we grab the necessary ingredients and headed home to cook. Reached home at about 4+pm cos Yorien's coming back at 5+pm so we wanted to get ready first.

Night: Quite fun preparing the food and it all turned out well so Yorien was very happy to eat the homecook dinner that she kept taking lots of photos of us cooking...(sure look damn auntie) We were very happy too that she enjoyed it and we sure miss our local food so we filled up pretty fast. We finished our dinner at about 7+ and it's still sunshine outside so we decided to take a walk by the beach which is nearby so Yorien dropped us at the beach and we walked around it for about an hour or so and watch the sunset, there were lots of dogs playing at the beach and we slowly walked away and took a tram back to the apartment at about 9pm. Chatted w Yorien for a while, ate some icecream that she offered and watch some tv and zzzz....
