We left our hotel at 7am for our train to Amsterdam. The journey was 3 hours long. Arriving at Amsterdam central station by mid day, we dragged our bags for 10 mins to our hotel. We buzzed the front door bell and waited. The door buzzed and we pushed it open, the first thing I saw was stairs I front of us. And more stairs and more stairs! Omg! The highest and steepest stairs ive ever seen!! I took a video but you just can’t see it in the video. Something that had to be seen. And dragging our bags up it was something else. I did not let go of the 2 rails that went completely vertical in some parts. After checking in we found out we were another 2 floors up again!! our legs were burning!!

We didn’t have any set plans today, just to spend the day wondering Amsterdam city. We walked around the canal streets, past lots of coffee shops, had a brief walk through the red light district to see the girls in the windows, did some window shopping and went to the sex museum. Lol it was pretty amusing, showing sex through the ages, chastity belts and ancient pottery work with naughty paintings. rude shaped canes and pipes. And a room set up like old Amsterdam’s red light district.

After a snack and walk around the small city, we took a walk along one of the main canals. There were so many little boats along it and boats that people lived on, with funny attachments like outdoor table n chairs on the roofs or even post boxes! For dinner we ate at the pancake place under our hotel. It was average although the pancakes were huge!
