......STARRING IN ORDER OF APPEARANCE......
Bo
Surly air-hostess
Homeless man #1
Homeless Man #2
ABBA
Homeless man with crazy hair #1
Unhelpful coffeeshop attendant
Seat stealing spanish couple
Weird woman in the toilets
In this remake of Speilberg's 2004 film, Bo replaces Tom Hanks as a lonely soul interned in an airport and forced to fend for herself in a sleep deprived world of duty-free shopping and recycled air. With Bo spending three nights in Kerkyra Airport (Corfu), Shipole Airport (Amsterdam) and Luton Airport (London) in the space of a week due to booked out hostels and lack of funds, this film celebrates the backpacker ethos of terry tight arse travel. Of particular note is the wonderful and creative performance of Homeless Man #2 and Bo's faithful representation of Hanks, complete with bad russian accent and concentrated look of pain/constipation (Hanks not bo).
......COMING SOON TO A THEATRE NEAR YOU......
okay, so apart from the obvious highlights of airport living, including 8hrs of televised 'Best of' Eurovision, extensive use of the duty free perfume, the loss of my bank card in an ATM machine and a yelling match with a costa coffee representative I've also visited
some amazing cities during the past few months. After flying out of Corfu and back to London for Cat's b'day, I made my way to Amsterdam to catch up with Dommy (ex-kelards/blue sky dish bitch) for a few days. Following a night spent at the airport, the 'Inner Amsterdam Youth Hostel' (located at the very end of the tram line in the outer suburbs) was, despite the presence of 70+ dutch school kids on red cordial, definately a step up in the life of Bo.
