Hookers and Harry Potter

Yes people, Netherlands has it all! I love Amsterdam! I have been here three nights and I've done a lot. When I arrived at the train station, I went to the tourist info center because I didn't print the map to my hostel. Oops! They told me where to go and I started walking. I'm staying in the red light district but I didnt know it would be this crazy! I was walking.....looking at the canal....oh pretty ducks....BAM! girls in windows! I didnt realize they would be so in your face. Lots of them. wearing practically nothing. And "live porno" shows every 10 steps, sex toys hanging in the windows, the scent of pot, etc. Anyway, I got to my hostel without sinning! ha!

The first day I took a self-guided walking tour from my tour guide. I've had such nice weather while in Amsterdam. I toured the Amterdam history museum which was super cool. I love history. There are over 1200 canals in Amsterdam and they never get old to look at. Everyone rides a bike and you'll see in my pictures that bikes are everywhere. The second day, I just walked around more and today, I took a 20-minute train ride to Haarlem. There wasn't much to do there but it was pretty and I walked a lot. Oh, in the middle of the square, there was a semi with a Harry Potter travelling exhibit. I got a ticket to go inside and I got to play the not-yet-released harry potter video game. It was pretty fun. All the people were dressed like Harry Potter characters. One of them asked me if I was a harry potter fan. I said "yeah, i saw the first one (even though I fell asleep during it). Is this the second harry potter movie?" yeah.......they looked at me like i was the biggest moron and said "no, it's the SIXTH!" oops! haha. then I got to get my picture taken in this big chair and they printed it out for me. Then, they said that I had to look into this camera and say a spell. I had to hold these two wands and say either one of their spells or make up my own. omg i was dying laughing. they said that I might have a chance to win a role in the new harry potter movie. yeah i'm sure I'll be on that. It was funny though.

Well folks, my trip has come to an end. Tomorrow I leave Amsterdam at 2pm. It has been a crazy 6 weeks. I hope you enjoyed my blog and I hope to read yours someday!
