I am back again. Much too early after all the fun weeks I had, but work calls. Lets start this story with the last hours in Miami...
At Labor Day Night we were sitting and drinking on the roof of the hostel. One of the girls went out yesterday but panicced out, then this friendly american guy helped her. This person is Kevin. Kevin was an local Miami guy who made it in the celebrity circuit. He was modelling and did some movies as actor (best role was in dark angel) and currently he just is living for working 1-day a week as fox news reporter. ;). In his spare time he is directing/writing his own movie or... just having fun in Miami. So he decided to hang out in a hostel for a change. I think we had a great group, a greater atmosphere and with the alcoholic drinks we had a wonderful time. Pictures telling enough ;).
Sunday I had to check out. Probably the worst day to check out, since there was still some labor-day parties and for once, the sun was shining for the most of the afternoon. After some beach in the morning and
some relaxing in the hostel I went to the airport to catch my plane. The flight was from 20pm(2am) to 11am. After the airplane dinnermeal I just closed my eyes for some time and got my breakfast.. kinda strange those hourdifferences. When I came home I did some administration and guess what.. another speeding ticket, this one from my travel to the dusseldorf airport... haha, I should reconsider my driving style ;).
I can look back to a very nice vacation, a lovely trip and a wonderfull time. I have much more experienced than I though I would. I didn't expect to have so much fun with so many people, different people, other culture. I also have learned a lot with travelling alone. For the next time, I will definely taking more time per city. I am glad I could have enjoyed every city and see the major attractions and architecture, however I think it's a lot of fun to stay arround with some hostellers for a while, like I did in Miami. I have seen every city on my shortlist (see blog 'pre'), however I didnt arranged lodging in advance... This was fine, except in Toronto. It
would have been easier if I would have a laptop or smartphone to be able to do some mail and basic websurfing.
A lot of people asking me what was the best... Thats just too hard. Every city has it's own beauty and I had a different experience. New York is so big, so impressive; Montreal has such nice parcs; Chicago has a very nice waterfront and beautiful architecture and Miami has nice beach, nice bars, nice art deco style. I really enjoyed to see my friend Jaclyn in D.C. and I really had fun on the Chicago Tour Walk. I haven't seen a lot of nature, but what I have seen in New Hampshire and my ride to the top of Mt Washington was so pretty.. I still believe 3 weeks is way too short ;) But one thing makes me happy: Nobody is stealing this memory from me!

Welcome home
Wesley, it was a pleasure meeting you. I had a lot of fun with you guys. I wish I would have met you earlier on. Now it seems everyone I met is gone so I guess my hostel experience is over for now. I'm really glad you had a good time here. Next time, come in the winter and you will have more fun. Keep in touch and who knows, maybe we'll be in the same place at the same time soon. Take care my friend.
