Friday 29th We finally got the document at the end of the day with the friendly campsite owner handing it over to us. Result! We packed up there and then and headed straight to the Montenegrin border. This time it went without a hitch and went straight through with not even a search of the vehicle. We drove in the early evening and were met by a beautiful coastal road that led all the way into the bay of Kotor. The water was glistening in the sunset and were very happy to be in the move again! We found a small patch of grass down a narrow path and slept there for the night. Saturday 30th That morning we had to be out early! As we were waking up and Char was poodling around Dobby there ... read more

On Saturday morning, we got up late and after a good breakfast, first we went back to Kotor to climb up to the fortress. Fortunately the entrance seemed too expensive to us (3€ p.p.) and so we decided not to go up there which was very fortunate because temperature climbed up fast and it would have been too hot to climb up there. Jon chose wisely on the beach front. We caught a bus up the coast to a place called Sveti Stefan and what a place! A former fishing village on a island has now been converted into an exclusive hotel - and is now connected by a causeway. It is a beautiful view - but somehow it’s too well restored and the bright ... read more

Hot on the Moon10 years ago, before I started to overload cycling with all my ecological & social principles, I was used to define cyclism merely as “school for dreams”. Mighty Leni Kravitz used to sind “if you want it, you got it - you’ve just gotta believe”. Very nice, but no matter how much you believe you would be the next president of the US, or the best basketball player in the world, that won’t happen. In the case of bike, however, dreams are indeed fulfilled - and you don’t have even to believe. All you have to do is to move your legs many times up and down. My first large fulfilled dream was the summit of the Tavor mountain in Israel - just 500m elevation, piece of cake in my current terms. It ... read more
