MALTA here we come!!

Arriving back to the UK yest am, our 4am getuyp this am was slightly rough but it so didnt matter cos its easter and we're off to Malta! We went down to the bus stop to catch the 4.20 bus and got in time to see our bus just drive straight past us even though we had tickets!! So we were a weeny bit worried as if the next one wasfull we didnt actually have tickets for that oe and would miss our flight. sarah was finding her own way there and karla was supposedly on the bus after us. The next one came at 5am running late too and the guy eventually let us on it thankfully but was not hapy about it! Hardly our fault. We sat down realised karla was sitting next to us and then get a text from sarah saying shes on our bus too! haha so that was easy no need to find each other at the airport. We arrived with plenty of time and boarded our ryan air flight to malta. Average experience. No bacon baps which we all wanted but then with a bag of starbursts we all perked up and played games down the isle! NB: see the wrappers on the new fruit chew starbursts!

Got there no probs and had a group of 15 NZers on our flight around us so was like a lil taste of home with all the surrounding kiwiana! ben had told us which bus to catch and was gonna be up there meeting us so we followed his expert directions and found our way to Mellieha bay! It was sunny and blue and we were all soooo excited!! Started strippin off the layers and letting our pastyness see some sunlight! We got to our hotel which was really nice - Solana Hotel - 27 pounds a night each! So, dumped our stuff and all went across the road for lunch. Not bad and very cheap at 2.50 pounds! never get that sorta quality in London!

We were all knackered so ehaded back to our rooms for a few hours and had a wee siesta! We all then headed up onto the roof to get some sun bathing in which was nice for a few hours. Not real hot but still nice. Ben and i dove in the ice cold water! Refreshoing but cant say it was hugely enjoyable!! We then made our way through Mellieha Bay exploring a lil and ended up on this amazing cliff overlooking the bay. So gorgeous but was starting to get pretty cold with the wind and allof us just so excited about there actually being sun had not dressed for coldness!! so we sat overlooking and drank a cider then decided to go for a swing in the playground which was amazing! Oh I miss my swings! then all 5 of us hopped on this massive rocking horse. I got quite into it and katie absolutely lost the plot and none of us ever really knew why but it was hilarious! We were unsure if she was crying or laughing! after that exhaustion we headed out for dinner and barely had any energy to make conversation! but had a good dinner and few drinks then all headed back for a relatively early night. 3 nice relaxing days ahead of us hopefully!
