We have had an amazing week here in Luxembourg,
we caught up on some laundry, sleep and missed meals.
Katie accidentally left her glasses in Nantes at Agathe's house and they kindly mailed them to Luxembourg
so our stay here was a little longer then planned as we were waiting for the package to arrive
not that we minded staying a few extra nights!
Thursday we got to sleep in and stay in our PJs the whole day!
Friday went for a walk around Sarah's little village Delhiem while Valerie slaved away in the kitchen all day preparing a delicious 7 course meal for the family and another couple that came over.... actually had to lie down and rest our tummies half way through dinner in order to make room for the next dish.
Saturday we celebrated Valerie's birthday a day early and surprised her by inviting two of her friends over for dinner... we ate wayyyyyy to much that night too.... there where 5 different types of desserts to be tasted!!!
Sunday Valerie drove us girls to france for the day where we walked around an old pioneer village. The mini village was composed of many different buildings each serving its own purpose (bakery, blacksmiths, carpentry ect) and full of volunteers (all in full costume) who were more then willing to explain the trade they were representing. Much like peterborough´s own pioneer village. Yet another guest over for dinner that night ,Jeremy ( or grand Jeremy as we called him not to get mixed up with Jeremy Sarah's brother), the son of one of the ladies that came over for Valerie's birthday dinner.
Monday everybody had to return to work and school so we took the train to Strasbourg (France) for the day and walked around checking out the sights all the while discussing university. Glasses arrived save and sound!
Tuesday we stayed in again and did even more research on our post secondary school options...
it seemed that every hour we would change our minds.
Wednesday we took the bus into Luxembourg and toured around before heading back to the Harik's where Sarah, Jeremy, Grand Jeremy and Sabrina (childhood/neighbourhood friend of sarah's) all met up and set out to a local pizza restaurant.
Both of us ended up not sleeping that night as we wanted to get one last Skype conversation in with the parental units and accept to university...
We are proud to say that at 4:08am on the 7th of May, Kathleen Margaret Keenan accepted to the University of Guelph! :D
Lynsey (like always) is still weighing her options... avoiding making an actual decision.
some things never change....
Off to the south of france tomorrow morning and then from there to Spain

hello ladies,
I have enjoyed reading all of your updates, and i am very impressed with the ammount of travelling you guys are doing- you really get around!!
I am glad to hear that Katie plans to go to Guelph, have you chosen a major or program yet? I was going to pitch U of T, York, or Ryerson to you until i read to the bottom of the journal entry. Lynsey, we have yet to meet, but i would like to mention how cool U of T is, and that if you choose to come to Toronto, i would be more than happy to show you the sights and hot spots. Katie, it's not too late to change your mind! LOL
I was glad to hear you took a day off to lounge around in your pajamas, that's always a nice thing to do when travelling, i find. to "waste" a day indoors when you should be tirelessly seeing the sights. it just feels great!!! lol
Enjoy the South of France, a friend of mine went there a long time ago and talks about it as if it were the closest thing to paradise. details please!!
