Well I am not sure where exactly I left you last but I think it was Interlaken! I had a fantastic last night in Interlaken....We had a giant Fusbol tournament in our hostel with a couple Americans and a few other Canadians that i met there...i definitley represented. So in the morning it was off to Venice (which was a last second audible) I figured since I was in the neighbourhood I should at least check it out for the afternoon and then leave the following morning...and boy was i glad that i did! The city itself is absolutley gorgeous. It is unique and romantic and full of sorts of cool suprises. So i walked around for about 4 hours with my back pack when i got off the train...and loved it. Then it was off to my campsite...this turned out to be quite the little adventure. Taking a bus into god knows where, walking all over the place in the suburbs of Venice, no one speaks any english...it was interesting but fun. So i get to my campsite and WOW.... there were 2 huge pools, a pizzeria, a few different bars, pool tables, fusbol tables, etc. Best part was the guy at the check in says "im sorry but your 12 person dorm is full....im going to have to give you your own cabin by the pool with your own bathroom, fridge, and 2 beds.....for the same price" ummmm let me think....sure. Within 10 minutes of being there I met 6 people from all over England at the bar. We had a blast that night. Playing pool, eating pizza, fusbol tournament...it was great. At the end of the night we snuck into the pool...the HUGE security guard took exception to this and chased us around the campsite with a flashlight yelling in Italian. Needless to say this was a lot of fun and a lot of laughs were had. So my one night in Venice quickly turned into 2 as the following day we went back into the city where Liam provided us with a "guided tour" with his book on venice. That day was the best I have had here. We bought bottles of wine for 1 euro! bought some sausage and cheese and took a Gondola ride through Venice. There were 6 of us in total...and it was a complete blast. Totally worth it. Then we bought some more cheap wine and hung out in one of the many busy plazas and sang songs. It was an awsome day.
So i left the next morning on a train to Ancona.....when i got there at 745 i found out that there was a night ferry to Croatia leaving at 830pm. It was off to the races....running 2 kms with my pack, sweating bullets, falling down....but i made it there at 820 and caught the ferry! I was able to sleep on the ferry so it saved me a night in a hostel...in this morning I have arrived safely in Split. Seems beautiful so far, but i have yet to explore. No idea what my plans are here....going to see where I end. Forbes is meeting me somewhere in Croatia in a few days. It will be awsome to trade strories and catch up with him.
I hope that all is well back home. Miss you guys, but its going fast!
Take care. Love from Kevin!

Hi Kev!
Wow. I get two things from your blogs. First, you sure are walking a lot. Every blog has you walking all over the place, touring places on foot and running for ferries. Great! Second, our worry about meeting people was a little unnecessary - you've mett all kinds of people, seeminlgy easily.
What I don't get from your blogs is homesickness, which I know has started a bit. You seem to realize though, that two seconds after you come home you'll think , "what an idiot I was, why didn't I do such and such...I wanna go back!"
All here is good - the school year is winding down, mom's last function - commencement is tomorrow.
The weather has been spectacular - sunny and warm since you left.
We love hearing from you Kev. It makes us feel so good to hear about your experiencing the world and having such fun.
Cheers, Love, Dad
