Venice was awesome, we stayed in a place called Lido which was the very last stop on the water taxi, opposite our hotel was a cool beach and there was a neat little township just down the road. The first day we were there we looked around our local area and went and chilled out on the beach, the water was not that nice but still went for a swim, as it was so dam hot going for a swim was so good. You could hire a deck chair and umbrella for some crazy price like 20 euro per deck chair or brolley, so we just sat on the beach instead and made our own shade for the kids. The second day we were there we headed into the main part of venice, where I as usual spent too much money!! It was really awesome, and the shops were just amazing! I loved the Rialto Bridge! We headed back a bit early as it was too hot to have Ari outside all day. Then the next day we just wandered around until we had to catch our bus to the airport to go to Costa Brava.
We got into Costa
Brava late on Sunday night and got settled in and went to bed. Then got up the next day and spent the day by the pool and at the cool beach just down the road. The second day we went to this place called Marineland which was advertised everywhere and all the tourist shops went on about how much you should go there, so we went, and thinking it was something like seaworld we were a little dissapointed to find it small and not much really to see for the 22 euro each that it cost us to get in. There was a seal and Dolphin show (I am not a fan of animals being outside of their natural habitat, however Joe Joe loved it) the show was pretty good, however where the Seals and the Dolphins lived was very small and I felt sorry for them! Then there was a water park which was also cool for Joe, he loved that too. There was a cool bird sanctury!! The next day we went on a boat trip and saw the coast line of Costa Brava and it was pretty awesome, we went to this little beach about 45 mins
on boat away from Santa Sussana (where we were staying) and it was the most beautiful beach both June and I have ever been to! I was out over my head about two meters from the beach, and I could see below my feet! It was like heaven!! Yesterday, being the last day in Spain we were going to head into Barcelona and that was the main part that I was excited about, however.....they cancelled our trip 10 mins before we were due to leave the hotel, I was and still am so so gutted as by that time of day there was no other way to get to Barcelona apart from train, where we turned up at the trainstation and it was just madness, as in lines to Africa to get a ticket, and with the kids its too hard to stand around in lines for hours on end, so we decided to hang around the shops etc for the day (as it was overcast couldnt even go to the beach), so went all the way to Spain and did not even get to see Barcelona or anywhere other than Costa Brava which is a huge bummer!
Anyways,
I tried to write that in the shortest version I could, so there you go......all around it was an awesome trip and now we are back in Leuven I feel like it was all a dream!
Tomorrow I head into London to see Stacey and Vicky for a few days, very exciting to see my sisters!! YAY.
Ciao
My fav beach ever!!!oh....and reason for the bandana is not that I am trying to be a bro, its cause I got sun burn on my head for the first time ever as its exposed due to the braids, so I was saving myself from the pain
