We whisked each other away to one of the world's most romantic destinations for Valentine's Day and Cyn's birthday!

We stayed on Lido, the play area of the rich and famous during the summer months. Well this was a couple of hundred years ago.

Celebrating in style
Because it was Valentine's Day and Cyn;s birthday all in one, champs was definately called for!

Our water taxi dropped us off at Lido as the sun was setting... absolutely stunning!

We hired bikes for the day to discover our little island- here is Cyn on her bike!

Lido has many little canals like this one, but unlike Venice, there are roadsa and cars all over the place.

We found one of the beaches, yip, stones all the way. We did find some flat ones and we tried skimming them across the ocean. Thats what Cyn is doing here, in case youre wondering!

After having stuffed our pockets full of yummy things from the breakfast buffet, we were ready to tackle Venice!
