A glorious 3 days spent in the city of Venice from 13 to 16 November 2006. Covered the whole place by foot using our trusty 'Lonely Planet' to guide us around. Spent a day using the Vaparetto to do some island hopping across to the beautiful islands of Burano and Torcello. Glorious sunny weather for the whole stay. Bellissimo!!! Everywhere you look and walk is a masterpiece. If you get the chance just go and experience the sheer magnificence and splendour of this floating dream of a city. And don't forget to try the gelato too!
This is the joint blog of Roddy B and the Helsters. Our paths collided at the beginning of 2006 and we soon discovered a shared desire to explore this fab planet of ours. Soon afterwards we started to lay down our plans for a 3 month blitz across the southern hemisphere through South America, touching on Thailand, Australia and New Zealand on the way through. The adventure starts on 5th January 2007 stopping off at Bangkok for 4 days before heading off to Sydney.
