Mestre Italy

We arrived in Italy at 1am this morning, unfortunately our final flight was running an hour late. Thank goodness the Titan Inn was only a short bus ride away. We were treated to some outstanding night time views of Venice and Mestre as we flew in last night.

We fell into our beds exhausted after a very long journey. In hindsight, we should probably have stayed a night in Hong Kong and broken the trip in two.

We awoke to a clear hot day, breakfast and then back to bed to catch up on some much deserved sleep. Thank goodness for a late check out and quiet surroundings. Where we are staying in the outskirts of Mestre the houses and shops are every thing you imagine Italy would look and fell like. Sunday morning and the church bells are ringing over the town.

Waiting for Diego to pick us up at 1pm, looking forward to meeting the family and exchanging our stories.
