RoomHere is my room--pretty spacious, desk, closet space, etc.
Hello everyone!
Ok this is day two in Italy, but I just moved into my apartment today with my roommate; we stayed the first night in a hotel. My flight had two stops so I made a stop in Denver, which was ok. The flight across the Atlantic was about 10 hours and I couldn't really sleep, so that wasn't really fun. I had a stop in Munich, where I missed my next flight, and had to wait for the next one to Rome. Finally, once in Rome we left on a bus that took us to Perugia (4hours) I think I slept the whole way.
Today we got up and moved all of our stuff into an apartment in Perugia. My apartment has a total of 5 girls (Megan, Katie, Lacey, Jackie, and I). WE took a van to the apartment and our driver was awesome! WE had to drive down very narrow streets with oncoming cars, I was doubtful about both fitting between the buildings. Close to our apartment is a grocery store, pizzeria, and some other stores. It is really a nice place; 3 bedrooms, a bathroom, and a combination living/kitchen/dining room. THere is a terrace

before our front door that is really pretty and we have good views from the windows. We were all pretty surprised when our landlord told us we have wireless internet and an alarm! After I put all of my stuff away, Megan and I went to find the school buildings and we also went on a walking tour. It was kind of difficult to find the buildings b/c they were just little doors along a long street full of doors. The walking tour took us around but I don't feel any closer to knowing where I am. The streets are so random it is hard to tell which direction you are going.
The city is really pretty, but there are many hills! I thought Lawrence was hilly until I saw this place. TOnight we bought some food from the little grocery store until we can go to the larger store tomorrow--we have to take the metro to get there. We also have orientation tomorrow.
