My ROOM!Wahoo my first room, in my first apartment. I love it. Too bad I can't put anything on the walls.
I keep waking up early for some reason and decided to take some pictures of my first apartment. I am way excited. I hope Hellen doesn't think it is creepy I took a pic of her while she was asleep. lol. I am still trying to take in everything that is going on around me. It is such a big adjustment. Just going to the grocery store is a crazy experience.
Sarah's collection of Things that are different:
- You have to use plastic gloves to select your fruits and veggies in a grocery store (or else they get mad at you)
- You have to print of a price label for your fruits and veggies before you go to the register (or else they get mad at you along with everyone in line)
- No one here speaks English at all.
- There is no microwave or oven in our apartment
- There is no skim milk...I just bought yogert
- The sandwich bread is super tinny
- You have to bring a shopping bag or they charge you 3 cents.
- You have to bag your own grocery's (or they get mad at you)
- Italians are always
mad at you if you are a student (at least in the grocery store)
- The grocery store is called the Coop (sounds like cope, say it right or they get mad at you)
So many things to learn. Maybe someday I will be mistaken for an Italian if only I didn't have blond hair and blue eyes.
