Tuscany, famous for its great artistic, cultural and natural heritage, is also a region rich in food and wine traditions. We can offer a tour to discover wines, typical products and traditional recipes, with “genuineness” as main ingredient.

1st day: Arrival in the afternoon and accommodation in a farm holiday, part of a big farmhouse. We will visit the cellars and the stone oil-mill used by the farm to produce its extra-virgin olive oil with the cold pressed system. The visit ends with a tasting of typical products. Dinner and
overnight stay.

2nd day: breakfast in the hotel, visit to the Medieval town of Loro Ciuffenna and to the ancient mill in the very centre of the town, with its original millstones still working. Then we are going to attend a cooking course. A chef will prepare with us a typical Tuscan menu, describing the steps to prepare dishes and cooking methods. At the end we will have lunch together. In the afternoon the group will stop at a vineyard with wine tasting and then visit an organic farm that combines the production of good food with the requirements of modern life. The farm, that is
also a local office of the University of Gastronomic Science promoted by Slow Food, produces soups, vegetables in oil, jams and juices, using its own products. A genuine way of eating, even for those that don’t have time to cook. Visit to the laboratory, to the shop and tasting of products. Dinner in a typical tavern with a menu based on recipes of the
territory. Overnight stay.

3rd day: visit to the historical centre of Montevarchi. Visit - on request - of an Art Nouveau villa, location of the movie “Life is Beautiful” by Roberto Benigni. Visit to the “Covered Market”, meant to bring together consumers and local farmers. Here it’s possible to buy fresh products directly from the farmers of the surrounding area. The visit will end with a tasting of farm produce from the Covered Market.
