Isole Eolie O Lipari !

We've arrived on Aeolian Island of Lipari! Getting here was slightly easier then last year, yet still awkward.


We said goodbye to my Aunty Lidia in Reggio Calabria, and left my car behind at the airport. I still haven't payed the 38 Euro fine from Napoli as the post office cant process the payment as i dont have a residential address here in Italy! We then caught a Hydro foil from Reggio to Lipari. The boat trip was only ment to take an hour and a half, italian time, which turned into a stomach turning 2 and a half hour boat trip to Lipari! We were more then glad to get off the boat! Then the hotel then didnt have our booking! They double booked, so we stayed 3 nights in the initial hotel and then had to swap over, actually this second hotel is much nicer!


I really dont have much to blog. Lipari is beautiful. There are alot more people on the island then when me and Daniel where here last year. My Nonno was from the Island, we still have cousins on the Island, so when we're not visiting family, we've been lazing about on the beach of Canneto and eating heaps of fresh seafood! (i cant remember the last time i ate meat) Went to visit smelly Vulcano and i still reek of Sulphur.


We leave tomorrow for Catania, just when im getting use to lazing about and doing nothing!!
