Beautiful Italy. Pasta and pizza, caio bella and whistling men, beautiful women, arches and art, gelato and fountains, columns and statues, Romans and centurions, silk scarves and ties, the countryside and cheese, museums and religion...Italy is all this and more. Italy is all about history, dreams, making wishes and romance.

Italy is my dream. Italy is my wish. Italy is coming true!

As I mentioned in my first blog entry, I have been dreaming and wishing to go to Italy for years now, to experience all these things first hand not just through movies, books and songs. The terrific news is that I am finally making my dreams come true!

I am officially going to Italy from November until January, mainly for work purposes but this magnificient opportunity will also provide me with the time to experience Italy, the Italian culture and lifestyle first hand. It is with the immense help of an agency called Carlas AuPairs that this opportunity has become available to me, and it is with huge appreciation and gratitude that I say thank you to her for helping my dreams come true!

I will be staying in a small town called Cremona, which is about an hours train ride from Milan. This town is mostly made up of apartment buildings, with a close knit community and families. The town is also renowned for its history in the making of violins. I will be staying with a family of 5, 2 older boys, a younger sister and an english teaching mom and a financial director dad.

I am very excited to start, with just my visa to aquire the process is well underway!

Get ready Italy! Here I come!!
