What have the Romans ever give us? Well a hell of a lot more than those theiving Spanish bastardos.
So, Bo and I caught a train back to Barcelona, looking forward to Tapas, Sangeria and Latino lovers. But some pajero on the metro stole my wallet. Granted, I probably should have had it stolen months ago with my lack of caring about security. Nevertheless it is still rubbish. And by the time I get home, the story of how it was stolen is sure to have become a tale of epic proportions.
So my time in Barcelona revolved mainly around sorting this out.... it was quite interesting at the Police station to see the sheer number of people who had been robbed. It was also interesting trying to file a police report in Spanish. But its done and hopefully ill atleast get some of the cash back from my insurance company.
Left with no bank cards whatsoever, I decided to depart from Bo and head to Nice in search of a HSBC where apparently they could help me. They might have if they had spoken English. So I quickly gave up on that idea and moped on the beach for a while. A rubbish beach by the way. Now my last hope of obtaining $$ was a cash advance from my Australian Mastercard. However, they needed a contact number for me to process this. I had, of course, left my phone charger in Alicant and had no battery left on the phone. So I searched Nice in hope of a charger. A lovely man in the Vodafone shop sold me one for 20euros. It wasn't until I left Nice that I found that it didnt work. Theiving French Bastardos.
After a Retard Probable - I guessed that meant the train was delayed, not that I was probably a retard, which I am, but anyway.. I headed to Florence. Well, I got into Florence at about 630am. So I headed back out to Pisa. Saw the leaning tower. It wasn't as big as I expected. Why are none of these tourist sites as big as I expect???? But it was cool.
Heading back to Florence, I decided to find a phone charger. But I couldn't find any phone shops. And when I did they were useless. Bloody Claro I TIM or whatvever the hell they were called were absolute bastardos and did not want to help at all. So I had to give up on my phone working and beg my parents for some money. Which hopefully I will get tomorrow - hopefully it will be in euros, not Rome Money......
So everything seemingly sorted as best as possible, I decided to try and enjoy myself. All I needed was a cup of Gellatio. Oh my god. The first stuff I had was awesome. The best thing ever. Seriously. I could go on for hours about it. But anyway. Incredibly happy, I decided to trek to Plaza Michalengelo for apparently 'the best sunset in the world'. It wasnt as big as I expected. Hehe. No, actually, I would have only given it about a 6 out of 10... maybe it was too cloudy or something. But to stem my disappointment, I had more Gellatio. Yum.
I planed on getting up early to see the sites of Florence. But a piano accordian player outside my window kept me awake for a good portion of the night. So by the time I got to the Uffizi gallery at 9am, the line was huge. I had to wait an hour. Which meant I wouldn't have time to go see anything else. Which was a bit rubbish, but hey, there was still more gellatio to fix any problem.
So this afternoon I moved on down to Rome. I havent been here long, but Im currently doing laundry. Cos I havent washed anything since I was in Southampton.... I dont even want to think how long ago that was. Generally I'm mingin.
Tomorrow I might go visit my main man Benedict. Oh and after everything I now have a phone charger. Hurrah. And also, news on the Bo front is that she got her camera stolen. Im not completely sure where, but Im hazarding a guess it was in Spain..... theiving spaniards. They makes me sad.
