Ok, I'm going to keep this one short because to be honest, I'm a bit tipsy right now. No, I haven't been drinking. I must have forgot my allergy meds at home and I woke up with the worst sore throat and the worst head congestion since I spent like 14 ours outdoors yesterday. Anyway, I somehow was able to communicate in Italian with the woman at the pharmacy and told her what was wrong. She gave me throat lozenges and some pills. I took one pill like 5 hours ago, and I'm still disoriented and my heart is racing. But my throat and head feel better, so I guess the pills work. Haha.
We've been studying all weekend and I am taking a short break right now. Seriously, Steph was quizzing us at the bar at 1:30am last night on how to break down the verbs in a sentence. Our Grammar teacher would be so proud of us.
We think we have found an apartment, and we should know for sure tomorrow. It's in a much nicer area than I'm in right now, and it's well connected with the city center by bus. So, I think we'll all like it there.
If everything goes as planned, we will graduate on Thursday, haha. Just a few tests to get through, and one more teaching practice. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. We're planning a weekend full of celebrating. It just sucks because a few people are going home this weekend too :( We've all become so close, and it sucks that we're splitting up soon.
As a side note...Mirko now gives us really cool designs in our cappucinno everyday. We get spiderweb designs, and flowers, and sunrises. It's awesome. He's the best. We're going to invite him to come out for our graduation party this weekend. It should be fun.
Hmm, what else? Not too much more to report really. Just staying busy but trying to enjoy the city and the weather as much as possible too. I'm going to meet up with some people now and we're going to have dinner. I think we're going back to see Alvaro again. I wonder what free food we'll get tonight, haha.
Oh, and I think I've learned more German since being here than Italian. It's sad I know. I think I will return to the States knowing every language EXCEPT Italian. We had to take 3 German classes as part of our course requirement, so I now know some German. Funny huh?
I hope everyone is well, and I promise to write more soon.
