''...the green and troubled land of
tourist brochures and news headlines.''

Quote from: Ireland, A Novel by Frank Delaney

Warmed and cooled by the North Atlantic stream and location respectively, Ireland is never extremely cold or extremely hot.

This celtic isle is stoney grey, rugged mountains, cliffs and dewy greenness. Windswept and misty, you will likely need an umbrella anytime.

From the ring of Kerry to the tatched cottages of Conamera to the Giants Causeway, may the road rise to meet you and may your hassles be small ones.

Ireland has folklore, lively music, dance and haunting ballads. Kiss the Blarney stone and join the locals in one of the pubs which outnumber just about everything for a pint of black and tan, or ten. Then rise up yer skirts and kick up yer heals for a bit of mighty craic with fiddles, harps, jigs and reels.

Hey, hey, HEY!!! Life is precious and sweet... Yesterday was one of the coolest days I've had! ;-) It was spent just chillin' with some really cool friends at the Dublin Zoo. What a place to get to! My goodness, we spent at least two hours trying to get TO the zoo...but it was also the funnest part, lol. This cool Aussie guy named Grant came and then there was Luke (the Kiwi I work with) Peter and Aussie pal as well and this English dude named Jack who for some reason I would like to call Jacque. heh. Ah it [View Full Entry]

Goodbye ireland! Europe » Ireland » County Dublin » Dublin
Tomorrow night it is time to say goodbye to IReland Entirely!.. our bus leaves at 4 am to go to our ryan air flight to Edinburgh Scotland. Our dilemma tonight would be that ryan air flights only allow 1 bag 30 lbs only (before leaving home we each were allowed 2 bags, 60 lb capacity so u could imagine how much luggage we already had, not too add everything we had bought in ireland already).. anything else would make us have to pay overage charges.. Well.. we didnt want that to happen so professor sands said that we had to shove [View Full Entry]

Absinthe=trouble Vodka and red bull= trouble.. Ok so last night was unbeleiveable. UNBELIEVABLE!!! Ok so in our hostel we did shots of absinthe, which NOOO u do not hallucinate off of it. u just get extremely happy. And then Dvora and I decided to get a bottle of vodka and mix it with red bull. Everyone was sick and tired of waiting for us to get done finishing the bottle, so we had to take it with us. It was a crazy night in Dublin with Halloween coming upon us. Scooby Doo and a dude were out in the streets. The [View Full Entry]

Dublin! Europe » Ireland » County Dublin
We finally arrived in Dublin, we are staying on a very busy street and we are staying at the Kinlay House another hostel. it is not the cleanest place, but it will do... Jen, Bev, Me, Dvora, Zach, and jeff are sharing a room, there are 3 bunkbeds, and the shower is disgusting, but its doable. Today we decided to get around and look at the city. We did this hop on hop off type tour. It bring you all around dublin in a double decker, and at each stop you can get off, and just go back to the station [View Full Entry]
