After having a great time in Ireland a few months back, feeling like I hadn't really seen the country as much as I wanted to, and having the opportunity to do a road trip with my great friend Naomi, I just had to go back. Naomi and I flew in to Dublin and picked up our car- a Red Nissan Micra, which we nicknamed "Ladybird"... and thankfully had more guts than the previous hire car. And so our adventures began, driving to Galway, and thanks to our Sat Nat (GPS- which we nicknamed Sean, thanks to the Irish accent it had) making us drive an extra hour via Limerick and Ennis, we eventually arrived. Absolutely love Galway, its just so pretty and cute. And from there we went to Limerick, which I hadn't been to previously. Limerick has a bit of a reputation as being a rough, working class kind of town, but really I thought it was lovely. Sure its not as picturesque as other Irish cities, but it certainly has a grungy feel about it which I liked, and the people there are so friendly. Learnt a lot from some locals about Irish life, their views and their funny
sense of humour. lol Due to a lack of mid-week nightlife, Naomi and I created our own fun by singing random 80s tunes in the streets... much to one persons delight, strangely enough. From Limerick we drove to Killarney, via the Burren and the Cliffs of Moher. Killarney is another one of my fave Irish cities, and we walked through the National Park to the Gap of Dunloe... thanks to the weather got totally saturated. We tried to drive round the Ring of Kerry, but due to torrential rain we stopped in Puck (which of course lead to numerous Summer Heights High comments) because we couldn't see the views thanks to the rain, and back to Killarney we went. The following day we drove to Killkenny, another place I hadn't been to previously, and absolutely loved it there... great vibe, and love the castle. And then it was time to return back to Dublin for a quick visit before heading back to London.
T'was a shame to leave Ireland, its certainly one country that I absolutely love.

good times darl, good times.... it's all GRAND ;)
Well precious, you are actually lucky to have seen the famous Cliffs of Moher! Do you remember me telling you that when John took me there I couldn't even see where the ocean was let alone the cliffs because the fog was so terrible! John was very disappointed and cross! You will have to show me some pictures!! Love to you,
xoxo
