Us in DerryI seem to remember Trevor getting spoken to about standing so dangerously................
Hi Everyone,
Well, I hope that everyone is well. Things are going well over here. Mum and Trevor left last Sunday after spending three months over here. It was so nice having them here and being able to see them whenever I wanted to. I really miss having family and friends I can see regularly. It's the price I pay for being so far away from home.
On their second week here Allen and I met them in Ireland and we stayed with Allen's parents, Paul and Eileen. We had such a great time and the week there went very quickly. We took them to the Giant's Causeway, around Derry, to a stone circle and a couple of castle ruins and to Newgrange and Knowth. Allen's brothers and their children came over on their last night there so we had some family photo's with Trevor as the photographer.
As always, it was so nice being in Ireland again. Allen and I are spending Christmas there this year and then taking the boat to Scotland and driving down to Plymouth. We had a look at some castle ruins when Mum and Trevor left and spent some much needed time
Passageway at KnowthThis is a stone age village with homes and burial chambers very closeby to Newgrange, Ireland
with Allen's family. As always the hospitality was amazing and we dreaded having to go. We're back there again on the 21st and are spending Christmas there. I'm hoping for my first white Christmas and Allen has promised that we will go and find snow if it doesn't find us first. All the Christmas shopping is done. And although I'm away from my Australian family I at least get to speak to them on Christmas Day, and I'm spending it with my Irish family instead. Can't wait............
I wish you all the best for Christmas and hope the New Year brings all of you all that you wish for.
Love Danielle
Trevor, Allen and MumI couldn't resist putting this one in. Sorry Mum. It's outside the ruin of Trim Castle, Ireland.
Gateway at Trim CastleFinally a doorway high enough so Allen doesn't have to stoop to get through..............
Mum and MeThis was taken by a large stone circle in Ireland. One of the biggest I've ever seen. I really like this picture.
