Ireland is a country filled with legends of wee little leprachauns, pots of gold and fairies!!! Believe what you want but locals will tell you not to disturb a fairie ring in your backyard, and to keep your eyes on the ever so tricky Leprachauns to do so will bring you bad luck for years to come!!
Once leaving Northern Ireland we made our way back to the Republic visiting sites along the way! It's nice after so many months of travelling without a guide to be braught to all the nice areas and stop when photos are worthy!!
On our way from Galway to Limerick we took some time to take in the Cliffs of Mohan...what an extraordinary site! We had a great day again the weather holding up till we arrived in Limerick, the rain never seems to stop us from finding the local pub and sharing a few pints!! The next day we stopped in Blarney to kiss the stone and receive the gift of Eloquence!!! I tell you what, can't speak for everyone, but i sure feel the difference ever since!!! We had just enough time to explore the surrounding area, walk up the wishing
steps and around an area filled with Fairie legends! We had the afternoon to ourselves in Cork and a few of us decided to go explore the Jail where an audioguide told us the story of young children men and women that spent time here from petty theft crime to beeing involved in the IRA!
Over the next few days we explored the Ring of Kerry, taking a horse carriage ride through Killarney National Park and the Dingle Peninsula. Ireland is such a beautiful country, the coastline and scenery with National parks surrounding, there is so much to explore and appreciate. You can almost disregard all the rain, thank it for giving Ireland it's lush green landscape!!
Before heading back to Dublin we spent our last night in Annascal. It was a great place to spend our last night together singning our guts out at Karaoke, playing drinking games and looking back on our last 10 days spent together! But not to worry we still had the Guinness Brewery to enjoy one last pint together when we arrived back to Dublin!
As we all went our own way the next morning I want to thank everyone on
the tour for all the great memories that i shall take with me! Hopefully our paths will cross again during our journey. Take care and safe travels.
