our group!
We left for Galway around 5pm on Friday on the Irish bus service Bus Eirann. I was very excited for this trip because it would be our first time out of Carlow. Plus we had a group of eight girls so we were excited to have a little girls weekend getaway! The bus first took us to Athlone where we caught a second one to Galway. The trip was gorgeous! We passed so many rolling hills and beautiful old farmhouses and a few ruins of churches and castle. And of course we passed many adorable Irish sheep! We got to Galway around 9pm and went straight to Supermacs...Irish version of McDonalds 😊 We then walked around for a bit in search of our hostel, the sleepzone. Once we moved all of our stuff into the sleepzone we walked downtown. Galway was so much bigger than Carlow, so we were excited to go shopping later on that weekend. We ended up being in Galway the same time as an Oyster Festival so there was quite a few people around. There was also a girl dancing with fire, a harp player, and a banjo player in the streets. We didn't stay downtown too
