Kiss me, I'm Brazilian!

Well leaving Brazil was really something. After missing my flight on the 25th, I managed to arrive about 4hours earlier to my scheduled flight on the 26th so this time I wouldnt miss it! Hanging around in the airport for another extra 4hours was a bit stressingful: I was walking around in a black dress, wearing black snow boots, carrying a black winter coat and a black backpack. Temperature outside: about 35C. I am lucky it wasnt 43C like last week!

Anyway, I decided I'd relax during my flight so I could enjoy the rest of my first day in Dublin! Well I realised it wasnt AIR FRANCEs goal that I'd relax when I finally found my seat in this crowded plane: my big butt almost didnt fit the seat I was assigned to and I had no room to stretch my legs. Well, fair enough: been eating like a pig for the past 27years... My new mission is to reduce my butt size so I manage to sit properly on my flight back to Rio. I suppose I should have asked Santa for help earlier this year!!

After 9hours, I was landing in Paris........... foggy cold morning.... around 8am, 0C, dark as if it was 5am in Brazil. How's that for an European welcome?!?! It felt great really! On the other hand I was astonished by the size of the Charles Gaulle airport: its HUUUUGE and I had the hardest time to go from Terminal 2D to Terminal 2E!!! It took me about 25 minutes!! My Dublin flight was a bit delayed, so no harm done! Two hours later, I saw Dublin!!

And guess what!? It was raining cats and dogs! Ahh, just the way I imagined it!! :P I suppose my cousin would kick my butt right now for reading this.... hehehe She'd rather I came on summer time, but I was telling her there's no point in that if I'm from Rio!! She nodded. Well, Eoin (Owen) made us a delicious meal, and Irish Coffee as well!! We caught up with a lot of conversation... I squeezed Daniel (my newborn second cousin) so much!! I suppose he liked my lap as I was trying to communicate with him in Portuguese... Result: he fell asleep!! :P

For now I dont have a camera, but soon I'll be posting here pictures of Dun Laoghaire (Down Larry) where Im staying... it's near the sea, and so charming!!
