Back at the bus station in Cork

NUala rode into town with me today because she had business in cork...a bus ride into cork from sherkin is about 2 hours. and you have to get on 2 diff busses to get here...one sherkin to skiberreen and then from there to cork. william, nuala's son was heading off to school so he dropped us off at the bus stop in baltimore. so we got to mis one of the busses...he really is a sweet kid, quiet but sweet. so as we are waiting for our bus out of baltimore village we are taking cover under this alley way. nuala left to go to the ATM and so a couple people showed up to take cover as well. couple ladies and this man.

so i was just minding my business and i heard the lady tell the man about a boat festival in baltimore withmusic, etc...she mentioned something about louisiana and such...so of course i chimed in...oh what musicians i am from louisiana....and of course all the atten turned on me....questions about katrina, the lady has plans to go to new orleans soon...then the guy asked if i was traveling alone and i said yes i was staying iwth a friend in sherkin. he shook my hand and said i admire you, its always best to travel alone. the lady was quite intrigued and she said yes but much easier for a man thana woman...and he said that not really cause when a woman is traveling alone people tend to want to help...and he is so true...i have ran into the most wonderful people...like batman and robin. they simply took care of me made sure i was ok and not one of them made me feel like awkward. they had much respect for me.

so as our bus came this gentlemen kindly took my suitcase and loaded it on the bus and winked at me and said, its nice to be important but its always important to be nice. and that was it he went on the way...he didn't even get on the bus he was just chatting with us woman...i think he was from austrailia...i don't know...but he said he was a musician andhe lived out in california for a while. he looked like gerad butler and larry bagby...like cross between them....hat a cool looking hat on was almost like cowboy but not really. interesting fella!

so anyway we made it to cork, me and nuala shared some breakfast in the square here...she is going meet up with her daughter for lunch. my bus leaves here in about 10 minutes. so in about 4 hours i should reach dublin

tonight i have a mick flannery concert on vicar street...i can't wait. I also got word from Robin that he is about to strangle batman with his bat belt...he needs reinforcements.. they have gone all over to belfast and everywhere...i am so jealous...they wanted me to go with them and if i didn't have plans with the norris family i would have but i am glad i got to go to sherkin because not many people can say they went here...great family. I think i will be seeing Batman and Robin in dublin tonight but i am not sure...

well i will go wait for my bus now. hopefully i will get good sleep...

and i miss my lennon grace...i bought her the cutest homeade irish doll named molly...she is going to love it!!!
