We enjoyed our last day in Galway walking around the center of downtown. We ate yummy crepes, and bought some groceries to make Rice Krispie squares. We made the squares back at our Hostel and many people had never heard of them... weird.
We decided to head to Cork for a few days because Dublin was very expensive and most of the Hostels were booked because there was a rugby game on. So we booked our Hostel in Cork and messaged some couch surfers just in case and jumped on another bus that would take us there. Buses make Caroline sick, other people throwing up in front of her makes Caroline sick. The buses drive fast on terrible, bumpy, twisty roads and we were surprised that we did not hit anyone.
When we arrived in Cork we had to hike with our bags 20 minutes to the Hostel up a large hill. We checked in and then checked our email and found a new email from Carlos a couch surfer. He offered us a place to stay but we had already checked in for the night but took him up on his offer for tomorrow. So we met up

with him and a few friends that night, enjoying talks, drinks while walking from pub to pub. It was a great night and in the morning we packed up our stuff and headed to the bus station to meet Carlos, so we could leave our bags at his house before enjoying the day.
We were all tired from the night before but a few people said we should visit Kinsale, which is a beautiful coastal town. But before, we headed to the English Market to get some ingredients for dinner that night (Carlos is a great cook). Carlos picked out lots of fresh seafood and we bought some yummy bread, challah (Easter bread that reminded us of the bread we had at Ariens). We enjoyed the Market very much, it was nice to see the variety of fruits, meats, vegetables, cheeses, olives and much much more. Carlos offered to drive to Kinsale and help us tour around, so we took him up on his offer. We enjoyed some yummy seafood at the fishy fishy cafe before driving up to the cliffs. The cliffs reminded us a little of the Cliffs of Moher, amazing to see. We then headed to
The Fishy Fishy CafeThis is where we had lunch, very yummy, they even gave us free bread and hummus, yumm
Fort Charles but did not want to pay to see another fort so we just walked around it, it was still neat to see.
Once home Carlos got to work on dinner, he made us Piaella, which is a Spanish dish made with rice and lots of seafood, it was delicious. Carlos and his french roommate Fabien invited us out with some of their friends, but we declined their offer and stayed in for the night, we were so tired and needed a little break. So we did a little laundry and watched some tv, and recovered from our 11 day trip.
Two popular Irish songs that you should download or have probably heard
Galway Girl - Sharon Shannon
Belle of Belfast City - Will Millar
Actually these songs can be found sang by many many artists
PS I was reading lots of comments on Irish Couch Surfing profiles and figuring I was missing something because everyone used the word Craic. I eventually learned that Craic means Irish Fun, and is a very commonly used term.
