BurrenMe at the Burren. It was really weird while we were there. When we arrived we were able to see the water that is behind me however when we left fog had settled in and you couldn't see anything. It
... [more]Hello All!!
Just thought I would send a little Hello to you all. Everything is going great, I am having such a wonderful time here in Ireland. We just arrived in Cork, we will be here for the next three days.
Last Friday we went to the Inishmore islands. It was about a hour bus ride to the ferry which was then about 45 minutes. It was a pretty long journey just to arrive on the Island. Once we got to the Island the 6 girls that I have been hanging out with and I went to eat. We ate at O'Malleys it reminded me of Marcus, I even took a picture for him. The food was good but the service was horrible. I have noticed that the service is a little worse here, or maybe just slower. After lunch we just walked around, it wasn't very fun. The island is suppose to be great, but it wasn't that great for me. The weather was a bit raining too, so I believe that had an affect on it. Also, I think at this point in the trip I hit a wall and was just tired. But I will be going back to the Island in August, so I hope I will be able to have a better experience. We didn't arrive back at the Hostel until about 6 pm. We just played cards at the hostel for the rest of the night, it was nice to relax after a bad day.
Saturday was beautiful, the weather was so nice. We were suppose to go to a lecture at the university but the professor never showed. We followed the 15 minute rule and left. A group of us went and got pizza at Al's pizza place. It was delicious! After lunch, Sam (one of the girls in the group of six I have been hanging out with) and I went to a park right outside our hostel to relax and read. The weather was perfect, it was a great place to people watch too. It made me thing of you Dad :) We then showed and got ready to go out for the night. There was about 20 of us from the whole group that went to a pub called the Living Room, I had a great time. After the bar we went to SuperMacs (food place) was just some late night snacks. Lets just say garlic cheese fries, one of the best things ever!!!!!
Sunday was a travel day to Kilfernoa. We made two stops along the way. The first was at the Burren, (goggle) then the Cliffs of Mohr. I was extremely to finish the cliffs, but the fog came in right has we got there, so I took some great pictures of the fog!!! Once we arrived at the hostel we had dinner at a nearby pub. I had beef stew, delicious it was followed by some traditional Irish dancing. Which was pretty interesting to watch, but a little boring.
Today we traveled to Cork, and tonight we are going to see Sex and the City. I am extremely excited to see it.
So that basically sums up my last couple of days. Things are going great, I am enjoying everything here. There are some days that are better then others but I am making the best of it, I am in Ireland. The six girls I have been hanging out with are so nice, we all get along so well. I am sure this has helped back this trip amazing!!!
Keep in touch, thanks for all your postings. I love hearing from you. I will post again when I can.
