Kilrush, Kilkee... the west is beautiful!

Hey all! Thursday I headed down to Kilrush.
And so I know I’ve been vague… sorry about that.
Friends, Family… Meet Aidan. There. :)

Aidan and I spent the misty afternoon walking through some pretty cool woods and takin’ pictures... Thursday evening his friends were putting on a fundraiser in Kilkee... such a blast... great music (different, drum, bass, stuff that keeps you movin')... great time.

Friday, Polo (Aidan's close friend) and I went out to see the cliffs at Kilkee. We walked along these areas called Pollockholes... When the tide is out, you can walk on the rocks. In between, where the pools are formed, you can swim and see some pretty cool sea life. As the tide is coming in, the holes fill together. So, it was kinda funny as we went out to a high part and turned around to come back and had to take our shoes off to cross the little stream that had formed... and yet again as we were coming back in. Polo said that they sometimes have to get a helicopter out there to rescue people who have accidentally stranded themselves. We walked to some spectacular cliffs that really would take your breath away. Also saw a castle, where we spent a good amount of time skippin stones and throwing rocks into the water... and also saw a pretty awesome beach...

That night Aidan and I went to dinner in Kilkee (mmmmm) and I performed one of my notorious clumsy/dumping acts with a plate of bruschetta... haaa... met his friends out for a great night of dancing to a fun band. The box player in the band uses a wa-wa petal! Oh how cool that was. It wasn't trad and it wasn't rock, but it kinda melded together in a way. Great to dance to.

Next day we just tooled around Kilrush, enjoying the rare sunshine, ate a nice lunch in Kilkee and then Polo and Aidan brought me to Ennis to catch the bus back to Galway. Arrived right in the midst of the arts festival (awesome streets during this), but was just too tired so headed back and crashed for the night! Headed to Drumshambo this afternoon for the week! Can't wait!
