Greetings from the Vestman Islands!
We have some more pics here for you. Not as many as yesterday because we´re working on a different computer. But there´s enough to enjoy! We have had a gorgeous but windy day here on the island and have decided to stay another night because we are enjoying the town and seeing the puffin penguins so much!!! Can´t wait to show you the pics of those. One popped up just a few feet away from us today as we lay in the grass hiding near their nests.

So sweet...
AFTER walking past all of this we were told that children die from the dogs attacking them because all they are fed are meat and they are not pets...scary!!!
Icelandic Beer...
brewed just a few feet from where we sat using water from ice broken off from the caps...and how does it taste...
Horrible!!!
The aftertaste was litterally like licking an ashtray filled with cheap cigarette butts...ugh!
Whale Skin...
in case you´re wondering...it actually tastes worse than it looks. Tim got sick....big surprise.
Hike after dinner in midnight sun...
We finished dinner around 10 pm and decided to walk one last time on a short 30 minute hike up a mountain for one last look at the icecap.

reminds me of fat back. do they have collard greens over there? Maybe they could use that whale skin in those...
sorry brad, no collards here. plenty of potatoes though, maybe they could put it in that...though i´m not sure that would help. it really was like eating a baseball glove.
June 4th 2008 - Mom Tucker: Turn off the light!
I can't believe you don't have darkness even that late. Even with daylight savings time we have dark by 8:00p.m. And the temp. here is high 80s low 90s! And we just got some fresh green beans and squash and onions from one of our church members, they are delicious! ! ! Of course nothing can compare to whale skin - they need to fry it though (pork skins). We miss ya'll but hope you are enjoying your trip - we LOVE the pictures, it is just like we are right there with you. Love ya'll.

The land has a harsh beauty, I am sure the lifestyle is not country cooking, fat in collards with a few jalepeno pepper but no whale.
The sled dogs have a stare very similar to wolves that are being raised down here in the country.
I know you are taking in the experience, now ON to BIG BROWN. He drew the # 1 pole position.
