Russell found some info on a lake near Budapest, Lake Velence, so we took a day trip to check it out. The train tickets were only 240ft each way for students, which is about $3 total. The ride was only about 45 minutes. We got there and walked around and took pictures for most o the time. Russell and Mark tried wakeboarding at this place on the lake, so I got some good videos of them falling. Russell also got hissed at a by a menacing swan, which I got on camera as well... We walked toward the town a little bit, but not finding much to do other than getting really good gelato, we made our way back toward the lake for more pictures. Once we decided to head back, we realized after we had gotten on the train that our tickets were only valid one way. Luckily the guy who was checking tickets onthe train was also selling them, so there weren't any problems. We ended up accidentally getting off a stop early on the way back, so we had no idea where we were. However, we did know we were in Budapest, so we found a tram stop right by the station that took us right back to our street. We were all pretty tired, so we didn't end up going to the wine festival. There's probably going to be more though, so maybe another time. Pics are on Facebook.
