Strolling at Budapest around River Danube in the evening

We arrived at Budapest later than expected, because there was a thunderstorm around the airport so we kept having roller coaster ride on cloud 9... and falling a sleep. Everyone was so scared of staying too long in the custom as they fear the hungarian will question them like the time in Krakow... but gladly they are so friendly as they just chop, chop and here we are in Budapest!

First impression of Budapest is it's a mixture of Paris (the Grand part, lovely western Architecture - Big, Large, GRAND!) and Communist buildings (the old, ugly, lost of broken holes - like the ones in Beijing... but I guess they are all gone now in Beijing for redevelopment). and I expected more of the grand part, so it was quite disappointing when in fact we found out it's more of broken windows and walls in the city... ah well, that's part of being a tourist, always find something not on guidebooks and see the true colour of the city.

As we arrived at the hostel around 8pm already, we decided to leave our luggage and gone straight to

eat around the area. We went to a place call Szekal (Turkish foodcourt) for Kebab's and some other mixture of Hungarian stuff... taste nice😊 but the expenditure is more expensive than I thought... like in Manchester... around 3-4 pounds a meal.

anywayz, after meal we gone strolling around River Danube. Some nice lovely photos are here... It was great, and I guess that's the nicest part of our stay in Budapest, strolling around River in the night😊 enjoy the pics!

byw, just to introduce our trip member, from uni we have Esther, Ruby, Gabriel, Matthew, Gary and Me; Plus matthew's friend Wing and Alan from Singapore. and Yes, always a great way to introduce ourselves around the river... as it's so beautiful!😊
